Wholesale / Zine Buying Information

Are you an independent artist with a self published zine, comic, or graphic novel? Do you have stickers, bookmarks, or other small art items that are for sale? Do you want to sell them at Books with Pictures? You can! Here’s how…

IN PERSON

The quickest way to get your things in the shop is to bring them in! Bring some stock and ask for Cicely, who will be able to help you out.

Buying hours are currently as follows:

Mondays	11am – 4pm
Thursdays	1pm – 7 pm
Fridays	11am – 3pm

Please try to come in during the first week of the month, as we have a strict monthly budget and later weeks will have less of it available.

ONLINE

If you are unable to physically make it into the shop during buying hours, email us at cicely@bookswithpictures.com with your pitch! We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, budget allowing.

THINGS TO KNOW

We purchase wholesale at 50% of the retail price. This means if you usually sell your zine for $20, we’ll buy the copies from you at $10 each. Make sure your price point accounts for this.

ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF GENERATIVE AI IN ANY POINT OF THE PROCESS WILL BE ACCEPTED. We have the right to ask you if any AI was used and will turn you away if we find it has been.

We have a weekly Zine shoutout on our Instagram page, so we will probably ask you to take a picture with your work! If you’re not comfortable with this, that’s totally fine, just let us know. We can also play around with how you’re presented, cover your face, etc.
